The undergraduate course “EE175A: Senior Design Project” was offered in Fall 2017 and Winter 2018. The software-defined radio (SDR) Laboratory we are developing hosted the senior design project sessions. The postdoctoral staff and PhD student were available during the senior design project sessions to assist the students and supporting them with any software and hardware issues. Students achieved great and satisfying results. The projects include

  • Auto-Adjusting P2P Microwave Link
  • Autonomous Ground Target Vehicle
  • Autonomous Target Scoring Drone
  • Localization of RF Transmission using Phased Arrays
  • Radio Frequency (RF) Signal Detector
  • Trilateral FM Signal using Software Defined Radio
  • Wideband Spectrum Monitor

Students presented their final demos at an open house event. The event was public and had many attenders from students and professors. Personnel from NSWC-Corona also attended the open house event and students presented their work to them individually.
